Greetings:

I am new to this board, thus if this question has already been answered, sorry. I did search FAQ. I saw only 3 posting toward this topic on 9^5 board.

A local dealer has offered to put this 30 HP/19 ft lb upgrade Saab Engine Tuning Kit at his cost, below $750 MSRP; also, I can have this 9^5 at 1% above invoice. I would love to have the ARC model, but having 2 children, V6 is out of my budget.

This is the best I can do after many weeks of searching. Now I have a few questions.

With all the blue smoke posting on 9^5 board, will this upgrade make my turbo's life even shorter? What are your experiences?

Second, has SAAB replaced the original turbo with the "better" turbo yet on 02 9^5?

Last, how is 9^5's clutch & transmission? Should I take an auto instead? I alwasys keep my car for a long time. Currently I have a Volvo 850 wagon, auto, sans turbo, with a little over 220,000 miles. I don't want another volvo unless I have to. Don't like VW Passat, and can not stand Camry/Accord/ES300/TL. Would love an Audi, but too pricy for me.
