Different car (wife's 9-3SC) and different fluid (Aisin Type T-IV) but similar results. Our youngest moved to Pittsburgh last year and on our visits using the wife's car I noticed strange shift behavior on one particularly steep decline (Vanadium Rd for any Pittsburgh locals). I did a single drain and re-fill on her car using the factory Aisin fluid. Significant improvement on the next trip when descending that hill!
I received four quarts of T-IV from Rock Auto this week to do a drain and fill on my 9-5 - and to replace the bungled T-55 recess ATF fill plug with a new, and correctly sized, plug using a 3/8 hex recess.
