Well I cant really say since I am not that knowledgeable. If the passage is a one way passage down to the oil pan, then I would think the pickup screen would keep it contained in the pan. It could maybe be extracted out the oil plug drain hole. BTW, it might very well be in the oil pan already. Something you might want to think about. I have no clue how you would find an oil passage diagram. Compressed air might blow it down. For increased suction maybe packing or an o ring might seal your vacuum tube to facilitate extraction. Again just helping brainstorm. You could make your own magnetic pickup tool from parts or elongating an existing one. Maybe place magnets on your oil filter too. I am just about out of ideas. If the car is a thrasher, you can take more risk. If its a beauty queen, you might want to seek the advice of a mechanic or pay them for a service call or rent their dohicky tool that's used if they do the same thing.
