That the noise changes left to right fits your diagnosis of wheel bearings.
If I understand correctly, that the noise also changes with acceleration/deceleration in a straight line, I'd also suspect the inner driver/tripod bearing over the IMAS bearing.
FWIW my '01 Aero w 195k mi has required 2 LF wheel bearings in its life so far. The RF is original and shows no sign of wear. it's the only car in my fleet that has needed front wheel bearings. I think that failures of these robust parts are the anomaly. For my cars I'd be inclined to replace only the failed part or parts.
however I get it, daughter's car and she is away from home, so it makes sense to do as much preventative when you can. I'd do the same.
