I think the load rating listed in the manual is just what the OEM tires are. I don't think it's prescriptive of replacement tire ratings. Compare the values in the NG900 to the 9-3; the load rating went up at least one, if not two steps, iIrc. Those cars are fundamentally the same, so what happened? Probably just that the higher load rating tires become more common. I've only had one place make an issue of this, which was Costco. I got around this by just dropping off the wheels and not the car.
