Acceptable Brands for Orange Relay? Posted by MI-Roger [Email] (#882) [Profile/Gallery] (more from MI-Roger) on Wed, 6 Nov 2019 11:02:31 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I replaced my driver's side low beam head lamp two months ago and the passenger side low beam six months before that, so when I received a Headlamp Failure message this morning I was shocked. We had a heavy frost overnight, as I was wakling around the front of the car to scrape both sides of the windshield I noticed that both low beam headlamps were illuminated. I double checked all front lamps and all were illuminated equally between the two sides.
So, maybe it is a bad Orange Relay which is sending erroneous input to the SID?
SAAB brand is $90. URO brand is $20. An unfamiliar European sounding brand is $160. Another unfamiliar brand, Something-Reid, is ~$50.
Is there a reputable brand less expensive than the SAAB branded part? Which is obviously built for SAAB by an anonymous electrical device manufacturer.
