Thanks for the great replys, and all of the help.

This is Saab #7 for us. We live in Vermont, on a mountainous road, and winter tires are a necessity!

The Gislaved's have been rock-solid, and the old, New England lore, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" prevails here. So, back to Gislaved's it is.

A funny story. During the snowy winter of 2001, on an evening when more than 8" of snow had fallen in a few hours, I was on a four lane road in Keene, New Hampshire. I stopped at a light, and noticed a State Trooper beside me (in the LANE (known to me, couldn't see the line) beside me). Well, I took-off from the light, traveled under the speed-limit, and was promptly pulled-over by the State Trooper, who issued me a sitation for illegally passing on the left. I went to court, and was found guilty by a jury of one. My Saab worked really well, the Gislaved's worked really well, but the Kangaroo Court in which I was found guilty caused me to wonder how one can "Live Free or Die" in New Hampshire.

Bottom line: four winter tires are a godsend in Northern New England! As for the New Hampshire State Trooper who pulled me over, and the Judge that found me guilty, what goes around, comes around.
