(I think this is right)--Tom Townsend told me he can hook up the car to Tech II (i think, or some other diagnosic tool) and drive around and gather data on the cars operation. Now that I think about it, it may not be the Tech II after all. This is a great idea, he even said there's a guy (on this board I think) in CA who can do the same thing, download the data from the diagnostic equipment, upload it to Tom here in NC, and Tom can see the data just as if he drove the car! From 3,000 miles away!
I don't fault the techs and the dealers entirely for the frustrations we've all had for 'intermittent' problems. Its not all their fault, as they *are* paid poorly by the mfr for that task. I've learned that if something doesn't happen *every* or most of the time I'm in the car then I stand little chance of getting dealership to recognize problem. If I have a concern about something then its time to call Tom. What a luxury :-)
