Depending on manual year Saab specifies using Weicon Anti-seize or Molykote 1000 for spark plugs.

From my practice on a few cars (not only Saabs but all with aluminium heads, ancient iron ones could be more tricky) antiseize isn't necessary when the threads are clean, but using it secures you for some emergency situations when unscrewing would be difficult, like having an oil leak from the valve cover going into spark plugs (it dries there).
If you decide to use an antiseize then apply it very sparingly - it cannot go beyond end of the thread, especially in spark area, as it usually includes some conductive ingredients (Molykote 1000 has cooper and graphite). Never use engine oil for that.
