Hello,
Not sure of your year but I think you should check the big 42 pin connector in the engine bay located right above that vacuum solenoid for the bypass valve. One of the wires for the solenoid goes through that connector. I have seen either loose pins or corroded pins in that connector cause this issue. Good Luck, Bernie
