While trying a few different things, I noticed a couple of times the car almost start to turn over. This led me to just keep on the ignition for a few seconds at a time, several times in a row. It gradually got closer and closer to starting, then eventually did. I let it run for a few minutes, shut it down, and it started normally again. I shut it down, put the battery on charge until the charger said it was done, and closed it up for the night. This morning the battery was completely dead. So obviously I need a battery, but I'm still uncertain what caused the no start condition that stopped it from turning over even with the help of the engine starter. Could this be the sign of a failing fuel pump?
