Hello,
I always believed that the location of the heater core, expansion tank and I guess coolant flow led to the effective purging of air in the Saab's. Yes they work wonderfully on the cars that are difficult to purge the air from. I remember before using these tools that alot of Audi's, E36 BMW's, and rear engine cars were almost impossible to purge the air from. I used to use a steep hill that I parked on to purge the air. Ofcourse the 2006 and BMW's with the electric water pumps are wonderful to purge air from the coolant system. You fill them then turn on the car without starting it and hold the gas peddle down and the pump activates for 10 minutes or so. Then you top them and your good to go. Unfortunately when the pumps fail or just fail to communicate with the ecm it costs you atleast a $1000 to replace. Good Luck, Bernie
