I have a 2001 9-5 wagon, I live in NC where it gets plenty hot and humid. It's been in the mid-90s lately. My ACC does OK here. After the interior cools, the fan slows to about 3 bars on the 'fan meter' (I don't know what else to call it). My only complaint is that after I park and say, run into pick up one of my children and re-start the car (less than 5 min) the ACC selects recirc but doesn't increase fan speed. Seems like it should increase fan speed either in place of or in addition to recirc. Somebody posted here (I think) that things like ACC are too complicated, too much to go wrong, etc. My 9-3 has a 'manual' HVAC system, works fine, and I think that person may have a point. Of course, the ACC is infinitely programmable to whatever we desire.
