You were lucky - CONGRATULATIONS. I had to remove the driver's door card to replace the crash sensor and NONE of the plastic door trim survived on my 2000 9-5. Of course no new parts available, I will attempt reconstruction with epoxy and reinforcements and I'll hope for the best.
Changed my pax mirror assembly also due to damage and replacement meshed with the seat/mirror memory perfectly. The car still also remembers memory settings for my late wife that were input in 2000.
