Lower Grille Replacement Posted by pme [Email] (#1496) [Profile/Gallery] (more from pme) on Mon, 13 May 2024 05:26:07 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Hi all:
2003 9-5 Arc (V6), 327,500 miles
After meeting with a high curb in a dark parking lot, my lower grille (below front bumper between fog lights) has disintegrated, leaving the lower part of the A/C condenser exposed. Brand new replacement is between $15 - $20, and per WIS looks like a pretty straightforward replacement (drop front edge of skid plate, disconnect thermistor, release plastic clips, refit in reverse).
My question for you is the following - WIS is unclear, but I am guessing that the grille will be pushed out the front when released, and new one will be pushed in from the front? Is that true? I’m obviously not concerned with damaging the old one, but am trying to make sure that I install the new one as simply as I can, minimizing contortions under the car!
Thanks a million.
