I want to let you know this is doable as a driveway repair. I would like to thank pme again for posting the WIS link for rack replacement. Finally had decent weather to dive in (been too darn hot or raining lately). For anyone attempting this, a few words of advice. Raise the car as much as safely possible. I had the front on jack stands, and put the rears on ramps to bring the whole car up. This car had the sub-frame bushings done last year, so those bolts were no problem. Spray the rack bolts with PB Blaster repeatedly before trying to remove. I had one that was seized to the bushing and it gave me no end of problems. Finally wound up cutting the head off with an angle grinder to remove it. Had a spare bolt from the junkyard rack removal. Other side came out with no problem. Follow the WIS, and you should be good. Having done this once, wouldn't hesitate to do it again, but wouldn't enjoy it either.
