I was always borrowing a local Saab owner's unit until I bought a Chinese TECH 2 clone several years ago. Using it exclusively on my 1999, 2004 and 2008 Saab 9-5's, so no issue with appropriate software I received. Used mostly for diagnostics as I'm not yet brave enough to adjust any factory programmed settings on the cars for fear of being unable to undo if messing things up!! Good referenced writeup with pictures from one member. Cable connections are kind of wonky and be careful to properly align and not bend any pins. The supplied Candi converter device works fine as required for the later 2008 Aero I have. I currently have lesser and greater emission faults on the 2004 Arc and 2008 Aero and will have to proceed with a smoke test I suppose to get closer to the problematic leaks. I really hate the GM conversion to too many hard plastic heat shrunk tubes on the emission devices. May be a purge solenoid device fault but can't just replace the device. Only comes with damn piping attached at a premium price!!!
