Hey guys,

I recently sold on a 2002 manual Linear sedan with which my only personal history with was to change the clutch. I never registered and spent much time with it, so it was particularly distressing to hear that when I sold it on, the instrument panel stopped responding on the new owner.

The dials on the instrument panel are all frozen in place, where they left off when they worked last. The new owner has tried leaving the battery disconnected, and verified fuses 17 and 27 aren't blown. He observed that idle seems to be rougher, gauges not working, and also apparently the SID is stuck on one setting and won't respond. I thought this all sounded like everything on fuse 27, but he has verified power to that fuse with a test light. The only thing that changed was that he replaced the tired battery with a brand new one. I understand that everything was good for a short time after the change. Any ideas on what could be checked next?
