We're still trying to keep one of our kids' 9-5 wagons on the road. Just had the blower motor for the HVAC done. When we dropped the car off at the indy shop, they removed the old blower and had to wait for a new one to be shipped, so gave us the car back while we waited. When we got it back, the speedo was no longer working. Saab Master Tech now says no signal coming from ABS module.

A replacement ABS module apears to be enormously expensive. But I wonder if this might be related to the famous "Christmas tree" thing where all of the dash icons come on - which happened last summer when it was extremely hot outside. We all remember sending off the ABS module (I think it was) to BBA Remanufacturing, etc. - which was not costly at all. Is there any recourse like that these days?

This 20+ year old wagon has about 140K on it, and has had a lot of pretty major repairs: head gasket, brakes, tires, HVAC blower, PCV valve, brake booster, etc. It would be a shame to have to throw in the towel now. It just passed inspoection last month...
