As Anders says in next reply, the nipple is vertical in the diagram where the hose, 12, connects to the oil separator. The nipple orfice is 2 mm (.078 inches) and should not be increased in size.
A 1/16th drill bit (.0625 inches) is almost the right size to ensure the hole is clear. If you can find a 2 mm drill bit, get one with a long shank so you can hold it without losing a grip on it.
My test for vacuum is a vinyl glove on the oil filler neck with the cap off. The glove ought to suck inward when engine is running. If it balloons, then PCV is not pulling correctly and nipple may be clogged. Blow-by gasses will cause oil leaks in the V6.
Also, check the condition of the breather hose. Mine disintegrated when touched with a finger in 2016. Replacement was not hard. See my gallery for photos of the breather replacement.
