The car is equipped with a built in microphone, but that device is currently wired in to your Onstar system. The radio has the provision to route the telephone audio to the speakers when you get a call, but ditto the current wiring regarding Onstar. First, you need a compatable phone and car kit. TO the best of my knowledge, only Nokia and possibly a few of the Ericson and Motorola phones/car kits offer this.
Once you get that part settled, you then have to decide if you want the phone to work as well as Onstar, or if you are willing to eliminate Onstar from your car. If you decide that you can live without Onstar, a good car phone/stereo installer can wire in your hands free kit in about two hours. You will obviously need a physical mount for the phone as well, and Saab has one that mounts in the passenger side footwell area. If you decide you need to keep Onstar, you need another switching relay called the Triad, from Uhltronics, which runs about $130, and that device allows your car's micrphone to be shared by the hands free phone and by Onstar. Uhltronics suggests using a separate speaker for the phone's audio however, which means that the radio volume control will not alter the phone volume.
The system when installed correctly, works grat, but you can probably see tyat this does not fall under the category "plug and play"
Good luck
