Some characters on ACC display of my 9^5'98 started to disappear recently. Before going to the dealer for replacement I thought there is nothing to lose and tried to fix it (the car is out of warranty). Pulling the module out of the console as well as taking it apart was quite easy. I inserted two rubber bars (1.5 mm thick) on both sides of the circuit board to keep the faulty connection somewhat pressed when the module is assembled. It has been a week by now and display is working perfectly. I wonder how long this kind of repair may hold. Somebody on this board has reported fixing the SID in a similar way. I can't locate the message/author now. How is your SID holding?
