Congrats on the new ride. I tinted both my 00 Viggen and my 02 Aero despite the good Saab OEM tint on the windows. I used a black tint against the Viggen's lightening blue body (See pic below). A black tint looks best against any blue. My Viggen ended up looking just like the one in the Saab ad where they show the Viggen and the pilot of a jet fighter.
When I got the 02 aero I had them tint it before I picked it up. With silver I went with a charcoal gray type tint and it looks great.
I always recommend having tint done by a professional -- this is key -- and make sure they are good at it -- it is not worth saving a few dollars and risking a bad tint job. Don't worry about legal tint levels -- every car other than my first car had full window tinting - some legal and some illegal (in CT it is illegal to tint front two windows) and never once got a ticket for it despite getting pulled over several times.
I now live in Texas and the tint actually makes a difference on those hot summer days.
Also -- I have never had any issues with my radar being less effective with the window tint applied as some have claimed.
Good luck! Post some pictures if you get it done. I would have done anything to get a Lightening Blue or Cosmic Blue Aero, but got stuck with Silver;)
