You might have to have them put it into "European Mode" (whatever that means) with the Tech-II to enable this setting. I was told that if I chose this, the only other significant change would be that the security system would not be enabled if I locked the car using the key, but only if I used the key fob. Since my keyholes are all plugged and I can only lock the car using the key fob, this wasn't an issue for me.
