The squeaking is mainly from the seat rubbing against the hard plastic molding that goes around the outside of the seat where the memory buttons and seat adjustment switches are. Place a cotton towel between the plastic molding and the seat and your squeak will disappear. This type of thing happens when you have two similar materials (in this case Acrylontrile Butadiene Styrene or ABS plastic (hard piece) and vinyl (looks like the leather)) which don't differ dramatically in their chemical properties touching each other. There are three things you can do to eliminate this noise
1.) Clean the vinyl with Simple Green, 409, etc. extremely well (careful not to use this on the leather portion of the seat) This should eliminate MOST of the noise by ridding the surface of the lubricants that ooze out of newer plastics.
2.) Get the dealer to put a spacer in the ABS molding mount to move the molding further away from the seat so they do not rub.
3.) Put a small piece of cloth between the molding and the seat.
Good luck!
Cheers,
Icepick '01 Aero
