Great! Higher prices mean better residuals

It's high discounting that causes such lousy (apparent) depreciation on Saabs. (Real, underlying depreciation is no worse than any other large car - it just that depreciation figures are worked out based on Screen prices vs used prices). When no-one is paying screen prices, it provides for dismal depreciation figures that make Saab unattractive.
I think it's great if they are not discounting so heavily - puts them on a level playing field with the likes of BMW, with the (apparent) rock solid residuals.
And higher new prices, means the values of the used vehicles rises in proportion.
