>>I am considering changing cellular providers and since they don't have the 6185, I need to know what specific models will work. All Saab can tell me is that models 5100, 6100 and 7100 are compatible. I need specific feedback here. <<
Some of those phones are similar size and use the same accessories to the 6185. The model numbers differ by market, but I started with 6150 (similar to 6185), then had 7110 and now 6210 - all use the same car kit and bracket so I didn't change anything in the car. I had that car kit (cark-91) installed in my old 9-3 and now i've just put it in my new 9-5.
If you go to the nokia usa site you'll see the series numbers - and the following use the same car kit so you wouldn't have to change anything in the car: 6300, 7100, 6100, 5100.
If you want something else from Nokia then you'll have to change some of the nokia car kit. But the connectors between the nokia car kit and the saab stay the same (power, mic and speaker).
Finally I don't know what kind of antennas are installed on american saabs, since if your new provider uses a different band then the antenna might have to be changed if it is not compatible with the new band.
