aero torque in winter

Hello,
I am living in a mountain area and about to buy a new 03 SAAB. The question is only which one. I previously owned a 9-5, 2.3 lpt wagon (1999) which I sold after a 1.5 years. The car came without TCS and I had a Hirsch tuning performed (change of the Trionic only). The result was excellent acceleration but tremendous torque steer, which became even dangerous on wet roads and extremely difficult on snow.
Now the AERO would be my dream, but how does it handle the tremendous amount of torque. I wouldn't like to have the same problem again. This week end I tried an AERO automatic on dry pavement and I couldn't feel any torque steer at all. Reading through the postings regarding snow behaviour I saw that most owners are happy with their SAABs in winter. My question: Did anybody need to stop his/her AERO in (deep) snow, maybe at a hill and what was the experience? Did you get away or were you left stranded the wheels spinning? Of course I would mount winter tires.
By the way somebody wrote that for the AERO there are no chaines. The dealer told me that SAAB would sell some special chaines for the AERO, but I don't want my wife to come to that point when she is with the kids.
Thanks for your help and input
Klaus
