The anti theft system disables the ignition. I have had this happen two or three times (in 7 years) in my 9000. I turn the key and nothing happens. I get out of the car, lock and unlock it again using the remote, which resets the alarm, and go on my way. Maybe this is what happened to you. I never worried about it, because it happens so rarely. Look in your manual and make sure the alarm light is functioning properly, because it is possible the alarm is failing. Here's a question: if you use the remote to lock the doors after you get in the car, will it start? I've never tried it, but it seems that it wouldn't, because the alarm is set.
