Brooks,
You've recommended these to me before as well. I'm thinking about getting them but I've got a few concerns:
1. You've got an '01 Aero right? I've got '02 with plastic lenses- are the E code lenses for '02 made from glass? Do you think a hi-power halogen might get hot enough to melt the plastic lens?
2. Have you considered what the impact on your wiring might be? The owner's manual recommends against higher wattage bulbs. I've been considering running higher gauge wire from some empty terminals on the fuse box, and running them off of a relay from the existing headlight wires to turn them on/off without too much fuss. I suppose another option would be to replace the hi beam wires from the fuse box with a heavier gauge and larger fuse.
3. I've found H7 bulbs on the 'net with power outputs up to 115W, with the heavier wiring this is what I'd be after, but I'm worried about melting the lens- any thoughts?
