Your point shows just how far the Accord has come; it is nipping on the heals of our [near luxury] 9-5's. Although I have not driven any 2002 models, I did have a 2001 (I know....many changes for 2002, including that very strange looking dash wood) as a loaner and felt there was has not much difference in refinement compared to mine (automatic wagon vs. my 5 spd). I do enjoy the exclusivity of my Saab, but when you remove the emotional element, the Accord has become a near match for our Saabs. And of course we haven't even mentioned that the Honda V6 is down only 10 HP from the Aero (down 46 on that all important torque, though). I love my Saab, but perhaps I am now ready for a 9-7.
