My experience with the 30K service wasn't that great. I trusted the dealer to do all the required work but now suspect it was an oil change and maybe tire rotation only. I know the ventilation filter wasn't changed (did it myself at 45K) and strongly suspect the plugs weren't touched either (150% of recommended gap at 60K service I did myself).

From an earlier posting today between two individuals, I suspect the hours allowance Saab gives the dealers/mechanics is way too tight for them to perform all the recommended work. Solution - only do the part you can for the dollars you are paid. Can't blame them if this is true. If I were a private businessman (Saab Dealership owner) I would probably do the same, or tell the salesforce to negotiate enough added dollars into the out-the-door cost to cover the future unrecovered service costs.

Unfortunately there are no free lunches in this world.
