I actually like the "rubbery" shifter feel better. I do have an '00 Aero manual--although I'd have expected to notice the 20hp which it sounds like you don't.
I do like the '02 Aero seats (I sat in one at the dealer but didn't drive it), but I actually like my '00 Aero seats--but maybe because I was coming from a Honda to this. I guess the handling upgrades would be the nicest to have for me to have of the '02 upgrades. Pricey though, and I don't know what all was involved there either.

> If you're driving a manual shift, except that the '02 shift lever has less rubber in it so there's a crisper feel to the shift and more engine vibration transmitted. The extra thrust is all at the very top end, north of 4500 rpm. But the Automatic is a different kettle of worms, with the 5-speed a/t and with the full measure of torque available. Then there's the '02 Sports Seats, decidedly more suitable for quick driving than the standard seating in the '00.
