Certified warr cost for non certified cars... Posted by Mike Lynch [Email] ![]() ![]() In Reply to: Price of Extended Warranty, KenD, Sat, 19 Oct 2002 15:42:10 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Catch 22.....You can't do Saab Certified 6yr/100k, zero deduct factory warranty on a Saab not resold by the dealer as a Certified Saab, the documentation would have to be fudged and then if you had a really big claim and they poked into it....well..who knows.
Saab doesn't sell an extended warranty. General Motors does. It's called Major Guard. The list price for an equivalant 6yr/100k zero deduct Major Guard is $3,085. In addition there are many other terms, up to 7 years, and less miles are availible also. So perhaps there's a better fit in terms and mileage for you or you same $515, only $2,560 list price, if you step up to a $100 deductible instead of zero.
Many, many brand of warranties are availible, but in my opinion and experience, the GM Major Guard warranty pays! I believe the Edmunds.com folks, most credit unions and lots of other folks offer extended warranties. Shop around.
