That control handling the most. I would look at the sidewall of the '03 Linear ... does it have Pirelli P6, like the '03 9-3, or Michelin MXV4, the tire which has been on 9-5 base and Linear ... and most of the Arc and SEs, since the launch. I drove a Linear as part of the '02 9-5 Press Launch, and I was underwhelmed by the way MXV-4 degrade the 9-5's handling. Felt the same way with the '99 Wagon Test I did in NINES. Moderate (IMO) cornering, everything under control except for the howling protest from the tire dept. If it's better handling you want in trading, just throw away those MXV4s and get Nokian NRV or NRZi. Or use the MXV4 as your "snow tires" ... they're supposed to be pretty good in snow ... for an all season.
