Hi, 2Slow. I tried to post a response to you under the "Torque Steer" thread, but I guess I was a little late in doing so (I was on vacation). Would you kindly respond to the following? I will greatly appreciate it! (P.S. - sorry to hear about your accident).
"I apologize if this is a bit off-topic, but you seem to really know your stuff about Saab suspensions. I have a 2000 Aero with the 2 piece BBS wheels and the stock Michelins. At highway speeds the car tends to "wander" a bit, and it doesn't feel planted to the road. The car requires more attention than it should to keep it centered in the lane. Yes, I can also feel some "rut steer" at times, but this is not my main problem. I think the alignment is OK because it doesn't pull at all.
My dealer has told me that this behavior is normal, and they cant' do anything about it. I am wondering if there is something different about the specifications of the BBS wheels verses the stock wheels that may cause the problem. Perhaps a change to a different tire would help. I am concerned because I am doing a couple of hours a day on the highway, and I want the car right. I will appreciate any information you, or anyone else can provide. Thanks in advance."
