Hi,
MY2000 may have been first year HOT engine was put in a 9-5, but
it is by no means the first time the venerable 2.3 I4 was mated with
a full pressure turbo. Also, Mitsubishi TD04 on HOT engine is a great
turbo. Most people prefer it to the old Garrett T25 on 9000 Aero.
So, don't worry about the HOT engine. Just make sure the plug gaps
are nice and narrow (in the .9mm range).
