It's funny, b/c the Arc has sort of a mysterious quality to it since you see so few of them. I drove it twice times before choosing the Linear w/ Premium Package, in the end deciding that the 4 cylinder turbo was something of a Saab specialty and identifier (at least in the US, though, presumably, the V6 will be well supported as the new prototype cars have similar engines). And the Premium Package really did add a lot of the more useful features as seen on the Aero/Arc--better stereo, more programmable items, etc. Still, I definitely think that in terms of the small details--which are essential for a good luxury car--the Arc was pretty darn nice; getting the best interior of the three forms. And the Arc had a truly heavy tank feel, a quality that always signals former generations of Mercedes and hence real luxury to me.
In terms of power, to me the Arc (and the Linear for that matter) had plenty of spunk, so the Aero seemed a bit overkill, especially after reading some slightly less than enthusiastic reviews of the new Aero in performance oriented magazines.
Anyway, as everyone else has said, it really comes down to a matter of preference and, well, incentives! Good luck.
