What is the purpose of the Trionic limiting full boost, if you haven't needed it for the past few weeks? If you haven't been using it, then you haven't been pressing the pedal to the floor. Now you do. Why not give you full engine power?
Also, with the automatic transmission, you have the "Sport" mode to change engine/trans characteristics. If you baby it, does the Trionic change "Sport" to non-Sport? I doubt it.
I guess that I'm skeptical. Can anyone provide a link that explains this "adaptive learning" of the SAAB Trionic?
Let's say you're a hard-core speed-freak. Pedal to the metal every time in the car. You let your wife drive it for a week. Get in it and try to merge on the highway, get clobbered by the minivan that you expected to easily pass. You take SAAB to court and their defense is that since you hadn't used the hp in the past week, they weren't going to let you use it now. Sounds pretty lame.
thanks
Ed
