Although I haven't used it I've been told it's nice stuff. The big problem with it is pricing. Frankly, that's my complaint about *all* Griot's products. Griot's tire dressing is $10 for an 8 oz bottle. Lousy value - great catalog.
Anyway, most any decent water-based dressing will work fine. Vinylex and 303 Aerospace are both excellent, being water-based and offering UV protection. A bottle of Vinylex is about the same price as the Griot's for more than twice the amount.
One of my all-time fave detailing products is Eagle One's tire dressing. It's had a few name changes over the years and is now called "Interior-Exterior Protectant". Fabulous stuff, ideal for rubber and plastic, and costs only $4.19 for an 18oz. bottle at KMart. Griot's can't hold a candle to this stuff at that price.
I don't care for the "endurace" type products. I clean my tires every wash with Eagle One Tire Cleaner in order to remove all road grime and gunk. Then I apply a fresh coat of protectant. That's the only way to keep your tires looking like new and well protected.
Hope this helps.
