I couldn't disarm/arm the car with my usual remote/key (I keep one in storage), good thing the mechanical door lock (keyhole) unlocks the door, and disarms the alarm too. Anyway, I figured maybe it would come back to life after I used it to start the car... the car started, I tried pressing the "trunk" button to pull up the "how many keys/remotes programmed" display on the SID, but no dice, it wouldn't respond. And no "low battery on your remote" message either.
So then I got the other key from out of storage, and it works fine, 100%. The SID showed me, "2 remotes, 2 transponders" with that key.
I figure the battery is dead on key #1, but it's a bit premature, don't ya think? 2.5 months of use?? Atypical I suppose.
Anyone else have battery problems with their key remote?
I'll stop by the dealer tomorrow morning.
