I orderd EBC brake pads, Saab turbo dial watch, bolt covers and mounted snow tires/wheels Friday AM. Saturday AM the three small items were on my door step! WOW
Invoice signed by Nick with a thankyou note.
I am in the next state, but still very impressed!
The shipping is $50, not bad! I ordered basic shipping.
The wheels will be here soon I expect.
The EBC pads are for the 9-3/9-5, no mention of the Aero. So the rotors are larger, but use the same pads it would seem. Past posts do back that up.
The EBC pad number is DP21062.
A note about the EBC pads. They have very low stopping power at first. You have to get into a low or zero traffic situation and brake repeatedly until you feel them start to work real well, the keep stopping some more and get them stinking hot. Be very carful when doing this to not dwell at a full stop with the pads clamped to the hot rotors. You can get an uneven material transfer from the pads to the rotors and that can feel like a warped rotor, but that is not what has happened. There was one very detailed post a while ago from another site that recommeded that the repeated stops be done until the rotors get hot enough to get blue or brown. That seems a bit extreme to me, but that is the direction that you have to be headed. The EBC packaging seems to leave you totally in the dark about bedding the pads in, but they do caution about low initial effectiveness.
I will be installing the EBC rear pads when Nick gets them.
