I have an '02 Aero- which was one of the first '02's made by the way. I've had Onstar personal Calling since it was first available in Canada- actually 2 days before the posted release date. I believe that in Southern Ontario (Toronto is where I'm at) this service was available earlier than in Quebec, but from what I recall from their web site Quebec should be on line by the end of November (now) When was your '02 Made? As mine was one of the first, and personal calling works for me- I'd be surprised if yours doesn't have the capability. From my past experience with on-star, you may want to try calling again and asking about the service. I've found some reps are extremely knowledgeable and helpful, while others basically don't know anything and are not willing to assist you.
The service offered by On-star while expensive (approx 50 cents/min) is useful. Sometimes the reception gets a bit sketchy if you're under power lines. Be sure you're outside, and not under any bridges or power lines which may affect reception when you call to activate.
