Hi,

I decided to cut my Vegas trip short. My piggy bank is a piglet bank
now :-)

The highlight of the trip was getting to Vegas and coming back in my
rocket ship ... um ... 9-5.

Why is it that this car feels as solid at 120MPH as my old Saturn was at
20MPH? (I didn't see Jason's advice until after the trip) I only
did 120MPH once when I was passing a BMW 530 from the right hand lane. I
normally don't try to embarrass people, but the whole talk about Saab's
demise put me in a Bimmer killimg mood. The bimmer had no chance
because he was on Saab turf. We were going up a 6% grade at about
5,000 feet elevation. I didn't have to do 120 except I saw in front of
me an old jalopy (one of those with a 3 pointed star ... they should pull
over to the shoulder and drive with the emergency blinkers along with the
18 wheelers). So, I had to dust the Bimmer even worse than I otherwise
would have. This was on a stretch of I-15 where one has to do 90 to
keep up. I only saw one cop the entire time and he was dozing off :-)

Anyway, Angelica (my 9-5) had no problem whatsoever smoothly
accelerating up the steep incline. My fuel economy for the trip was
33MPG. I could have gone to Las Vegas on one tank of gas (550 miles).

You know, if others knew what we know they would be crazy not to
buy Saabs. And Saab keeps saying that most people who test-drive
Saabs buy Saabs. Well ... that sounds like the Marketing team at Saab
is doing a REALLY PATHETIC job. They just have to spread the word
better and get more people to test drive Saabs!!!

I'm a little tired, but the trip was exhilarating! Also, I'm
not nearly as tired as I thought I would be. There's nothing like a
9-5 for long road trips!

I'm very glad that the doom and gloom posts have died down! I still
think it was a bunch of needless worrying. :-)

thanks

Jae
