inexpensive power mods?

2003 Aero s/w
So with the NG900's I developed a list of several low cost effective mods to improve power and turbo spoolup. The length of that list was a testiment to things Saab could have done better with that vehicle.
Yes, I am aware of the arguments that a T7 will negate some the the benefits of a K&N filter. I don't agree with such totally.
So short of a speed parts ECU, is there anything to do? Anyone tried a MBC in series with the BPC valve to improve spool up? I do have to admit, the Aero is very resposive boost wise.
Any ideas?
With the Aero at 250HP, the cost of an ECU mode to get +24 HP does not seem too cost effective.
I do miss the brute force power of the 95SET, it had a stock ECU, but was certainly faster responsive than the Aero. The Aero is very strong and very refined. Perhaps too refined to know how strong it is. Maybe its is need to fight with the steering when on boost that is the missing element. I just don't get the adrenaline rush with this vehicle.
