I have used a stop watch and measured miles to find what indicated speed is 75mpg (48 seconds). So my speedo error is 2.5 mph at that speed. Will a Tech-II adjustment fix that, or will it just offer a few pre-sets for different tire combos?

And when I do 75mph true, the SID average speed shows 76. And my odometer seems to be off, with the odometer showing some obvious under-readings, which is good I guess.

MPGs still look promising, despite a tank of not so wonderful fuel. Next tank will be Amoco, which will put thing back on track.

I thought that the plastic extrusions that cover the cargo tracks had been dropped for 2003, because once folks removed them, they were rarely replaced. So two arrived direct from Saab yesterday. I probably will not install. The bare metal does match the dash ;}

I took my old red DI and put in under the hard foor board. It fits with the board down and flush!! Its flange does push the flexible spare tire cover below down a bit, which is ok. So, someday, it will be great to have the spare DI in there and out of sight at the same time. I love being able to carry spare stuff and have it out of sight. The 95SET always had a box of stuff. No, the red DI is not staying there, it was just a fitting test. Speaking of DIs, I pulled the new one to get at the screws. Finally, the threads in the valve cover are not a sloppy fit to the screws like the older production. But the point was to put loctite on these and that is what I did.

About the shift light, soon to be Tech'd out: With a cold engine, it does not seem right that the shift light is wanting folks to drop rpm's that low and increase the loads. I have always favoured lower loads and higher rmp's during warmup.

The cruse control seems much better than the 95SET. It seems to lock into the speed you are going, and the old one would often lock at a slightly lower speed.

Anyone use the 'home-link' transmitter function of the mirror with the three transmitter buttons? Is that anything different from the stuff that RadioShack and others have sold for almost 20 years?
