Snow Tires

I got caught in that Christmas evening snow mess with the Aero's stock tires last night. I was comtemplating getting snows or leaving the stock tires on since we don't tend to get alot of snow here in metropolitan New York. One snow in early December and then last night has me convinced that I need the snows. I believe that the size would be 215/55R16 for the Aeros (2002 model), but, tell me if I'm wrong.
Now the question....do any of you have the Saab rims with the Gislaved snows on your cars? Which Gislaveds are the ones Saab uses? How would they be on dry roads because that is what we mostly have here even in the winter? Same for any of you with the Ronal rim/tire package which I believe are the Nokian NRWs.
Thanks.
