received a shiny new 2003 9-5 Linear. Thought there was going to be problems getting it since I'm not 21, but they gave me the car anyway, as they should have. (thx to all who posted about this awhile back).
WOW! On the 25 mile trip home from the dealer, this car is impressive! I don't remember the 2.3t being this quick. It's almost as quick as my 3.0t, but has a lot more turbo lag and a rougher idle (to me). The sound the 2.3t makes when starting is pretty weak (sounds like a real dog), but this engine is far from weak. I love the paddle-shifting on the steering wheel. I now know what all you guys mean when you say that this car handles better the than 3.0t because it isn't so nose heavy. I agree, very agile- yet I think the steering feels more vauge than on mine. Maybe it's because of the extra weight of the 3.0t that makes the steering feel better. Hate the black plastic dash instead of the wood or aluminum finish in the others. In a weird kind of way, I like the multi-spoke alloys that it has. For the most part- impressed with the 1,000 or so changes they made from the 2001. But- I think I'll just keep mine!! :)
