I realize this is several days late, but had my 1999 wagon in for warranty work on the tail Wed-Thurs.
Included was pointing out to them that my rear washer was not working. As of when , we don't know, as we rarely if ever need to wash the rear by it. But we needed to while dealing with the snows and road salt in New Hampshire over Xmas week, and noticed it failing.
Though maybe it was an ice in the line problem, but they say the nozzles easily clog and can't be cleaned, and they have to replace the nozzle piece. I wasn't there, and I don't know if it is just the snap cap. Free this time, but not next.
My bigger concern is the cold snap here in Phillycaused the rear lift-gate shock to fail. We are not thrilled with this as over the years we had replaced several of these on an 82 Volvo, failing due to cold, and causing a nasty head-bump once. But those struts were exposed, inexpensive, available after-market and easy to replace.
Again, repair covered, but I don't know how expensive it would have been. Part was special ordered, and as it is hidden, it is very likely not DYI. And it looks like this can be expected to happen again from the col over time. Service manager said he has heard of Saab rear shocks failing from the cold, too!
