who has the aftermarket Xenon. You're right about the price- I paid $1000 Canadian for them last summer. I'm very happy with them so far, the only thing is you won't get the auto-levelling feature as on the OEM lights. If you frequently carry a large load in the back you might want to reconsider. Installation is nothing that can't be done on a Saturday afternoon. You'll need to take off the air intake hose on the passenger side and the battery to properly mount the ballasts and starters. Installation can be done in a few minutes if you dont mount the ballasts and starters properly, but you're asking for trouble if you do that.
An added bonus of the aftermarket units is your halogen high beams will still be operational with the Xenon lows installed. Works very well on back roads at night. If you've got the cash and can find the space for the extra ballasts and starters (believe me, its tight) you could replace your high beams as well.
If you decide to get a kit I'd be happy to share my mounting locations with you.
Brad
I've checked my aiming after I installed them and there's no issue to oncoming driver's I have a nice sharp horizontal beam cutoff unlike what some people will tell you. Sure, they're brighter than the average car's Halogen's but IMO not as bad to oncoming drivers as HID's in a Lexus, MB, or BMW SUV.
